Pale Canadian Birch heartwood tends to be a light reddish brown, with nearly white sapwood. Birch can have a dull uniform appearance due to little colour distinction between growth rings. The wood’s grain is generally straight or slightly wavy with a fine, even texture and a low natural lustre.
This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
