Paldao heartwood ranges from light to medium brown, sometimes with a reddish, greyish, or greenish cast. It is common for the wood to have darker brown to black streaks. The wide pink to grey sapwood is typically demarcated from heartwood. The wood’s grain is interlocked and irregular and has a medium to coarse texture with good natural lustre.
This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
