London Plane (Platanus x Acerifolia) is a hybrid between American Sycamore and Oriental Plane. Our sheets of plane come from the heartwood, which is a dark reddish brown, with a fine even texture.
Also available in various sizes is 'lacewood' veneer, which is botanically the same tree, but comes from the sapwood and is quarter-sawn to display the distinctive ray flecks. Please enquire.
