Sapele (Entandrophragma Cylindricum) is one of the many substitutes for 'real' or Honduras Mahogany (Swietenia Macrophylla). It is a golden to dark reddish brown in colour, which tends to darken with age. The grain is interlocked and often exhibits the familiar ribbon figure with a fine uniform texture.
