Tropical Olive heartwood is golden to reddish brown while the sapwood is greyish-yellow. Darker streaks are frequently seen on the surface. The wood’s grain is usually straight to slightly interlocked. Texture is uniform fine to medium texture with a good natural lustre.

This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
